Slobbery Good Time Comes to MCCC's Kelsey Theatre With "Henry and Mudge" Musical Feb. 17


Life is a whole lot more fun when you've got a large, good-natured canine companion to share in your adventures. Join the award-winning Theatreworks/USA for "Henry and Mudge," coming to MCCC's Kelsey Theatre on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is conveniently located on Mercer's West Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Based on Cynthia Rylant's best-selling children's book, this lively new musical explores the joys and complications of having a 182-pound dog for a best friend. Young theater-goers will enjoy a romp through the seasons as Mudge helps Henry learn about responsibility, loyalty and love.

Based in New York City, Theatreworks/USA is America's largest and most prolific professional not-for-profit theater company for young and family audiences. Founded in 1961, Theatreworks performs an average of 16 different shows annually for more than four million people nationwide, many of whom have no other access to the performing arts. Among the company's many awards are the Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation Award (2001), the Actors' Fund of America Medal of Honor (2000), and the Drama Desk Award (1996).

Tickets are $10 for adults, and $8 for children and seniors. Free parking is available next to the theater. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling the Kelsey Box Office at 609-570-3333. Kelsey Theatre is wheelchair accessible and provides assisted listening devices upon request.
