Invisible Rabbit on the Loose in “Harvey” at
MCCC’s Kelsey Theatre Oct. 28-Nov. 6

Eccentricities abound when your best friend is an invisible, six-foot rabbit. Join Pierrot Productions as they present “Harvey” at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre. Dates and show times for this clever comedy are: Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 28, 29, Nov. 4 and 5 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Oct. 30 and Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on Mercer’s West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. An opening night reception follows the Oct. 28 performance to give theater goers a chance to enjoy refreshments with the cast and crew.

A Pulitzer Prize winning play, “Harvey” became an instant classic with the 1950 film version starring Jimmy Stewart. Elwood Dowd is a kindhearted fellow who is inadvertently damaging his family’s social standing and his niece’s chances for a proper marriage due to his insistence that his closest companion is an invisible 6-foot-3-inch rabbit named Harvey.

When Elwood’s sister Veta tries to have him committed to a mental institution, Veta’s own sanity comes into question. Amid the often slapstick humor emerges a message of tolerance, understanding, and appreciation for the simpler things in life.

Featured in "Harvey" are: (back row) Paul Saunders, Ruth Markoe, Ruth Rittmann, Luddy Iezzo, Jack Bathke and Abbey Newell;
(front row) Harvey as himself, Lonnie McCullough and Laurie Hardy.

Featured in “Harvey” are: Jack Bathke as Wilson, Erica Flory as Myrtle Mae Simmons, Laurie Hardy as Veta Simmons, Luddy Iezzo as Doctor Sanderson, Pete LaBriola as EJ Lofgren, Mickey Levitan as Judge Gaffney, Paul Saunders as Doctor Chumley, Ruth Markoe as Betty Chumley, Lonnie McCullough as Elwood P. Dowd, Abbey Newell as Nurse Kelley, and Ruth Rittman as Mrs. Chauvenet. Ruth Markoe directs the show.
