It's a Dog's Life for "Harry the Dirty Dog"
At MCCC's Kelsey Theatre May 5

What's a dog to do when he loves to get dirty, but hates to take baths? Join ArtsPower National Touring Theatre for the charming musical adaptation of "Harry the Dirty Dog" at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre on Saturday, May 5 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is conveniently located on the college's West Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Based on the classic children's book by Gene Zion, ArtsPower's new musical tells the tale of Harry, a little white dog with black spots who has everything he could want - a soft bed, a big yard, and a warm and loving family. There's just one thing that can ruin Harry's day - baths! He hates them so much that one morning he decides to run away. He spends a glorious day playing in the dirt, but returns home to find that he has gotten so dirty, his family doesn't recognize him. Capturing some of the whimsical moments of pet ownership, "Harry the Dirty Dog" is ultimately a tribute to the bonds of family, as Harry rediscovers what is most important - Mom, Dad, and Little Girl.

Founded in 1985, ArtsPower is one of the largest non-profit professional children's theater companies in the country. The mission of ArtsPower is to create, present, and tour productions of the highest artistic caliber, using live performance to help young people connect with their families and peers, teach them to appreciate diversity, give them a sense of belonging, and spark a lifelong interest in theatre.
