West Windsor,
N.J. -- Artists aged 18 or older who live, work or study in Mercer
County, N.J., are invited to submit work to be considered for this
year's Mercer County Artists exhibit. Artists may
enter one or two pieces in any media except photography. (The county
hosts a separate Mercer County Photography exhibit).
Jurying will
take place on Saturday, Feb. 13 at The Gallery at Mercer County
Community College. Artwork should be dropped off at The Galley between
9:30 a.m. and noon. Work not selected for the exhibit must be picked
up that same afternoon between 3:45 and 5:00 p.m.
Awards and prizes,
including the Utrecht Paints Best in Show, the 8th Annual West Windsor
Arts Council Prize, and the coveted Mercer County Cultural &
Heritage Commission Purchase Awards, will be announced at the show's
Opening Reception, which will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 24,
from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The show will be on display through April 1.
This year's
juror is C.J. Mugavero, owner of The Artful Deposit Gallery on Farnsworth
Avenue in historic Bordentown, N.J. She opened the first Artful
Deposit Gallery in Monmouth County in 1986, and has been a gallery
owner and art dealer ever since. More about her gallery and roster

or they can pick up a copy in front of The Gallery on the day of
the jurying.
This exhibition is co-sponsored by and supported through a grant
from the Mercer County Cultural & Heritage Commission, with
funding from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department
of State.
