ArtsPower Brings "Fish Face" to
MCCC's Kelsey Theatre Oct. 6

9/13/07

Kids are invited to spend the afternoon with a popular character from children's literature. ArtsPower National Touring Theatre presents a new musical, "Fish Face," adapted from the Kids of the Polk Street School series, at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is conveniently located on Mercer's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Based on the book by two-time Newbery Honor-winning author Patricia Reilly Giff and illustrated by Blanche Sims, "Fish Face" tells the story of Emily Arrow, a child who can do lots of things well when she has Uni, her toy unicorn, to bring her luck. But when a new girl, Dawn Bosco, appears, everything changes. Dawn seems to be good at everything. Worst of all, Emily discovers that Dawn has stolen her unicorn. Should Emily reveal Dawn's terrible secret? Will anyone believe her? Children will relate to Emily's plight as she learns lessons about friendship, honesty and growing up.
