5/1/09

For those seeking the ingredients to success in the kitchen, the region's top chefs will share their skills in classes offered through the Center for Continuing Studies at Mercer County Community College. Classes take place evenings and weekends from May 18 through July 27 in the MCCC Culinary Center on the West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Chef Benson Yu presents four classes with roots in the Far East. In "Sushi 101" on May 18, he prepares a variety of delicious sushi rolls on May 18, while in "Fusion Asian Cuisine" on June 8, he creates exotic dishes from Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia with influences from America and Europe. In "Wok and Roll" on June 22, he teaches participants to prepare stir fry dishes, including lo mein, spring rolls and wontons. Yu completes his summer offerings with the fragrant, spicy delicacies of "Thailand" on July 27.
