"Boy Who Cried Wolf" Offers Lesson in Honesty at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre Mar. 27

3/4/10

West Windsor, N.J. - The old adage, "Never tell a lie," is one that bears repeating for every new generation of youngsters. Lessons of truth and consequences are delightfully presented in Theatre IV's musical adaptation of Aesop's "The Boy Who Cried Wolf," at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre on Saturday, March 27 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

One of Aesop's most popular fables, "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" chronicles the misadventures of a bored, mischievous shepherd boy. Calling for help to fend off an imaginary "wolf" that is threatening his sheep, the boy soon gets ignored as the villagers discover that he is simply "crying wolf." Then, when a real wolf appears, he finds out that nobody believes a liar even when he is telling the truth.
