Renowned Clown “Bob Berky”
Comes to MCCC’s Kelsey Theatre Nov. 12

“Bob Berky – Out of the Blue” showcases the talents of this internationally renowned clowning virtuoso in a performance that will delight the whole family. MCCC's Kelsey Theatre proudly welcomes Bob Berky on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on Mercer’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

The award-winning Berky has toured extensively in the United States and Europe. He received an OBIE Award for his work with the performance ensemble Foolsfire and won the "First Fringe" Award at Scotland's Edinburgh Festival for his one-man show. His many television appearances include specials on PBS, MTV, the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. Critics have called Berky’s art a combination of Charlie Chaplin, Red Skelton, Danny Kaye, Robin Williams and Marcel Marceau.

Berky has taught at numerous universities and theaters including The Juilliard Drama School in New York City and the North Carolina School of the Arts. He has been a member of Affiliate Artists Inc., and worked as an artist-in-residence in many communities throughout the United States. Trained initially as a classical musician, he also performs musically and comically with symphony orchestras in the United States and Canada.

Tickets for “Bob Berky – Out of the Blue” are $8 for everyone. Discounted series packages for Kelsey Theatre’s 2005-06 season are still available. Free parking is available next to the theater. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling the Kelsey Box Office at 609-584-9444. Kelsey Theatre is wheelchair accessible and provides assisted listening devices upon request.
