MCCC Gallery Hosts Group Show of Visual Arts Faculty Through Feb. 19

Paula Swisher submitted “Gnawing,” a painting of a sparkling bird for which she mixed seven different hues of black and silver to create her own value palette.

Submitted by Leonid Siveriver, this ritual vessel is inspired by ancient symbols that are mixed with Siveriver’s own personal symbols. It was done on a pottery wheel with hand work, and was raku-fired.
Entitled "Half Light," this acrylic painting is by adjunct professor Paul Mordetsky.

Combining the talents of long-time visual arts faculty members with the exciting work of newer instructors, The Gallery at Mercer presents "All Together Now," a group show featuring contributions from 28 Mercer faculty artists. The show is currently underway and will run through Thursday, Feb. 19. The Gallery at MCCC is located on the second floor of the Communications (CM) Building on the college's West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

An Opening Reception is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 28 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Notes MCCC Gallery Curator Tricia Fagan, "This show demonstrates our justifiable pride in our Fine Arts program. It's an outstanding program because we have wonderful artists who share their knowledge with students." Fagan adds that the show is a treat – for its range, creativity and professionalism.
