West Windsor, N.J. – How much difference does one life make? Holiday audiences are about to meet a man who has made a huge mark on his little town of Bedford Falls – but doesn’t yet know it. M&M Productions presents “It’s a Wonderful Life” at Mercer County Community College’s (MCCC’s) Kelsey Theatre Fridays, Nov. 20 and 27 at 8 p.m., Saturdays, Nov. 21 and 28 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Nov. 22 and 29 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college’s West Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.
A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on Nov. 20.
George Bailey is a small town guy who has given up big dreams in the face of his overwhelming civic and family obligations. At his wit’s end after a disastrous business transaction one Christmas Eve, George is about to end it all when Clarence, an angel in training, intervenes. He guides George through a Bedford Falls in which George has never been born and it’s a darker, drearier and sadder place. George comes to recognize what's really important in life -- hard work, fair play, personal sacrifice and the love of family and friends. The show is based on the acclaimed 1946 movie classic produced and directed by Frank Capra, and starring James Stewart and Donna Reed.
Starring in this Christmas classic are Tim Moran as George Bailey, Angela Fasanella as Mary Bailey, Matthew Cassidy as Uncle Billy, Walter Smyth as Mr. Potter, Sean McGrath as Clarence, Noelle Rappleyea as Violet, John Cox as Bert, Kevin Hallam as Ernie, Dan Spalluto as Senior Angel Joe, Shan Williams III as Senior Angel Frankie, William Walters as Pop Bailey, Sybil Cooper as Ma Bailey, Nicholas Kianka as Harry Bailey, Michaelyn Haley as Annie/Mrs. Thompson, David Christoffersen as Mr. Gower, Tristan Takacs as Sam Wainwright, Carolyn Anzuini as Cousin Tilly, Madison Kotnarowski as Cousin Eustace, Pete Trabucco as Mr. Martini, Julia Patella as Young Mary, Jeanette Smith as Young Violet, and Anthony Rita as Young George.
The ensemble features Kennedy Bruker, Gabrielle Cody, Julien D’Adamo, Chuck Denk, Karina Garcia, Dennis James Hagen, Samuel Hastings, Shane Howell, Leo Jablonski, Nicholas LaRussa, Rob Lasky, Albert Maffei, Emily O’Sullivan, Cara Pergament, Ilene Sullivan, Kristin Varvaris, and Kaitlyn Young. Featured as the Bailey children are: Sawyer Berness as Tommy Bailey/Young Harry), Isabella Colon as Zuzu, Mia Soleil Spallina as Janie Bailey, and Hudson Waller as Peter Bailey/Young Sam.
The show is produced by Mike Almstedt and Mike DiIorio and directed by Dan Spalluto. Set design is by Mike Almstedt, lighting design is by M. Kitty Getlik, costumes are by Louisa Murey and choregraphy is by Laura Murey-Ghaffoor.
Tickets are $18 for adults; $16 for senior citizens, and $14 for students and children. Free parking is available next to the theater. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling the Kelsey Box Office at 609-570-3333.
