West Windsor, N.J. – Reock & Roll Revue, led by keyboard player Tom Reock, returns to Mercer County Community College’s (MCCC’s) Kelsey Theatre for two special dates in August. Their concert, “A Life in Music – Then and Now,” will feature music from the 40-year career of famed Trenton songwriter-guitarist Ernie White. The show will include special appearances by numerous performers, including White himself, who will debut his 2015 "Coming of Age” album in its entirety. This is his first album of all new material in many years.
Dates and show times are Saturday, Aug. 1 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 2 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
According to White, “Coming of Age” is a concept album that focuses on life's big moments: from childhood to the first kiss, the first car and the first child to the first break-up, the loss of one’s innocence to war and the trials of this world. “Yet always dreaming of a better future, ‘Coming of Age’ is a musical journey through life. I hope you enjoy the ride,” White says.
White’s own musical journey extends from his home town of Trenton to the world stage. He was signed to Casablanca Records in the early 1980s as a member of the performance troupe Sam and the Band, and, in the late 80's, to RCA Records with the heavy metal band Aviator. White has released five solo CDs and has played throughout North and South America. He has also written music for network television.
