Dinosaurs Rock in "Dinosaur Babies" at
MCCC's Kelsey Theatre March 3

West Windsor, N.J. - A large-scale fossil fantasy is coming to Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre. Humongous dinosaur puppets and their human friends take center stage when DinoRock Productions presents "Dinosaur Babies" on Saturday, March 3 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on Mercer's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

"Dinosaur Babies" is a journey into the fascinating world of dinosaurs, with a jammin' musical score for kids of all ages to enjoy. Audiences will meet Big Bad Baby Rex, Doris the Stegosaurus, Tina Titanosaurus, Triceratops Sam, and more. These lovable characters introduce youngsters to the world of science through a subject that seems to excite everyone's imagination: dinosaurs!

A national leader in children's entertainment for more than 20 years, DinoRock has performed for millions of children nationwide and has sold over 100,000 award-winning original audio recordings around the world. A generation has grown up singing along with their life-sized, colorful prehistoric friends, the creations of Emmy Award-Winning puppet designer Ingrid Crepeau and Parents' Choice Magazine and American Library Association Award Winner Michele Valeri.

In addition to Crepeau and Valeri, the group features Michael Stein, a two-time winner of the Washington Area Music Award for Best Male Performer in the Children's Music Category. Together the three performers were nominated for a Grammy in 2000 for DinoRock's CD, "Dreamosaurus."

Hailed by the Smithsonian's Discovery Theatre in Washington, D.C., as "one of the best children's theater companies on the market today," DinoRock began in 1984 with the production of its first album, "Dinosaur Rock," the story of an eccentric yodeling paleontologist whose magic spells can bring dinosaurs back to life. The recording led to a show, which led to the formation of a touring company. Since then the group has produced nine more dinosaur shows and toured nationally for the last 16 years. Today DinoRock boasts a bonanza of Grammy nominated songs and lovable dinosaur characters.

Tickets are $10 for all ages and may be purchased online or by calling the Kelsey Box Office at 609-570-3333. Kelsey Theatre is wheelchair accessible; free parking is available next to the theater.
