West Windsor, N.J. -- MCTV, the cable channel of Mercer County Community College (MCCC), will provide live, county-wide coverage of the 2012 Mercer County High School Basketball Tournament Championships on Thursday, February 23. The doubleheader will feature the girls' game at 5:30 p.m. and the boys' game at 7:30 p.m. The games will be broadcast live on Comcast and Cablevision channel 26 and Verizon FiOS channel 20.

The entire television event will be produced by MCCC students enrolled in the Radio, Television and Digital Film degree programs. Students will serve in all capacities behind the scenes. Coverage will also feature game analysis from MCCC Professor and sports author Craig Coenen, MCCC Women's Basketball Coach Mike Tenaglia, MCCC Men's Basketball Coach Howard Levy, Jim Giglio, and Bob Hutchinson.

This marks the seventh consecutive year Mercer students have broadcast the event on MCTV. Previous broadcasts have earned national awards including a Silver Telly Award and Videographer Award of Distinction.
