West Windsor, N.J. – Members of the men’s basketball team had a special opportunity during their December visit to Washington, D.C., which has become an annual tradition under Head Coach Howard Levy.
In addition to playing a game against Cecil Community College at the Verizon Center and exploring the nation's capital, players were invited to meet Alabama Congresswoman Terri Sewell in her office.
Coach Levy reports that Rep. Sewell was a gracious host, sharing her background in Alabama, which included growing up with a dad who was a long-time high school basketball coach. She discussed her role in Congress and asked players to share their goals and offer feedback.
The visit concluded with Rep. Sewell taking Levy and the team onto the floor of the House of Representatives.
