A study
of fundamental concepts, theoretical principles, and practical aspects
of modern ecology. An introductory course with emphasis on the study of
the interactions of organisms with each other and with their environment.
Laboratory classes involve mostly field work. Included are field trips
to the New Jersey Pinelands, a Wastewater Treatment Facility, an Electrical
Generating Station, Botanical Gardens, a Municipal Ecological Facility,
a Wildflower Preserve and the Trenton/Hamilton Marsh.
