Catalog Description :
    A study of the fundamental concepts, theoretical principles, and practical aspects of modern biology. An introductory course with emphasis on cells, cellular processes, plants and plant processes. Laboratory exercises stress the development of skill in basic techniques, reinforce particular lecture topics, and introduce material not presented in lecture. Laboratory work includes measuring techniques, the use of a microscope, cell structure and function, and plant diversity and anatomy.
