Vice President for College Advancement [Full-time]
Mercer County Community College seeks a dynamic and experienced professional to take the leadership role in revenue-generating initiatives, outreach and advocacy. Reporting directly to the President of the College, this highly visible position provides strategic direction for the advancement enterprise in support of the college’s continuing development and growth, both short- and long term. This position also serves as the Executive Director of the college’s Foundation Board, and oversees Marketing & Publications, and Grants Acquisition.
The Vice President will lead to a successful conclusion the college’s current capital campaign, maximizing the efforts of its 50+ member Foundation Board. Relying on traditional and creating innovative programs, the Vice President will develop fundraising goals and plan management for future annual and capital campaigns. Interface with college management/administration; coordinate and monitor institutional needs are key to this position. Critical to fundraising success will be the development, cultivation and maintenance of relationships between the college, its alumni and the community at large. Encouraging a best practices approach in all areas of revenue generation encompassed by this position, the Vice president will also oversee the design and implementation of systems to ensure sound financial, budgetary, legal, and accountability practices.
Mercer County Community College, ideally situated in the New York- Philadelphia corridor, is located in West Windsor, Trenton, and Lawrenceville, New Jersey and offers a Virtual College. The 292-acre suburban West Windsor Campus is located approximately six miles north of Trenton, New Jersey. The James Kerney Campus (JKC), founded in 1975 and located in the center of downtown Trenton, serves the educational needs of its urban population. The county’s Fire Academy operates under the aegis of the college in Lawrenceville. Students, and the community-at-large, enjoy a rich variety of educational programs, organizations and activities, top-notch athletics, and cultural opportunities.
