County Residents and Community Groups
Invited to Participate in Focus Groups
for MCCC Strategic Planning

May 2, 2007

Dear Residents of Mercer County:

Mercer County Community College is planning for the future, and we invite you to be part of the process. We are now preparing our strategic plan, which will be a blueprint for us to follow as we make policy decisions that affect the future of our college and our students.

Our planning process is at an important juncture, and we want it to be fully inclusive. Our administrative team is seeking participation from many members of the community, such as yourself, whose opinion we greatly value. The collective information will be shared with the Board of Trustees for their discussions in setting the college direction.

We hope you will be able to give us a little of your time by attending a planned focus group session in June. At this session we will be asking how the college has met your needs, what areas need improvement, what programs and services should be offered in the future and how you feel about your experience with the college.

We hope you can join us on Tuesday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the college’s James Kerney campus (Kerney Hall), or Friday, June 8 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the West Windsor campus (Conference Center, room 214/15). The sessions are expected to last about two hours.

If you would be interested in attending either session, please call (609) 570-3772, or e-mail spfocus@mccc.edu by May 22. We very much appreciate your participation.

Sincerely,
