What is CLEP?
The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a series of computerized examinations in 35 introductory college subjects that allow individuals to earn college credit for what they already know about the subject regardless of how that knowledge is acquired. Our institution awards credit for successful scores on CLEP exams.
CLEP exams are 90 minutes long and are administered on computer. Students receive instant score reports following completion of the exam with the exception of English Composition with Essay.
I Want to Take a CLEP Exam - What Do I Do?
The Academic Testing Center (West Windsor Campus) offers the CLEP test on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Visit the office on the second floor of the Liberal Arts Building, room LA216, or call (609) 586-4800 ext. 3295 for more information about our registration and appointment process. Our credit-granting policy information is available upon request.
Cost
Each CLEP exam costs $70, payable by credit card, check or money order. Our registration fee is $20, payable by exact amount cash, check or money order.
The registration fee is non-refundable and is required to make an appointment. If you reschedule for an exam more than once, you will be required to pay an additional registration fee. When you arrive for your test you will be required to present two forms of photo I.D. and pay the CLEP fee.

The DSST Program (DANTES)
DSST (DANTES Subject Standardized Tests), a nationally recognized testing program, affords opportunity to receive college credit for learning acquired outside the traditional college classroom.
Subject Standardized Tests to Choose From
You may take these exams based upon what you have learned from your job, your reading,
your independent study or special interests you have pursued. There are no prerequisites
for taking the DSSTs. You can choose from 37 different test titles in the areas of Social
Science, Business, Mathematics, Applied Technology, Humanities, and Physical Science. All
tests are Internet-based with the exception of the Public Speaking exam.
How to Take DANTES/DSST Exams at MCCC

of the Liberal Arts Building, room LA216,
or call (609) 570-3295 to make an appointment. DANTES Fact Sheet study guides are also available
at the DANTES website.
Cost
Each DANTES exam costs $70, payable by credit card.
Our administration fee is $35, payable by exact amount cash, check or money order, which
includes traceable courier expenses to return the Public Speaking exam to the DANTES office.
