Exclamation Point

The exclamation point ( ! ) is used to

a) indicate the end of a sentence or quotation, expressing strong emotions (exclamatory sentence).

    Examples
    I hate you!
    She said, "I hate you!"

b) indicate strong emotion after a word or a group of words.

    Examples
    Help!
    I got an A! I passed the final exam!
