Susan Dilts '01
(A.S., Nursing)  ...was promoted to charge nurse at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital. She is currently pursuing her B.S.N. at The College of New Jersey, which accepted the credits she earned at Mercer. She expects to graduate in 2011 and then plans to pursue her master's degree in nursing.

Gibson Zarkar '04
(A.S. Computer Systems and Networking Administration)  ...is a customer engineer at Agilysys, Inc., in its Corporate IT Division headquarters in Edison, N.J. He is also founder and president of Gibson IT Solutions, his virtual IT business, and creator of the website, Stewards of God's Creation, which provides updates about the building of a school in Zeegartown, Liberia, his childhood home. "I strongly encourage everyone to learn from each other and the world around them," he says. "Success in life depends on you, no matter where you come from."

Michele Green '82
(A.A.S., Advertising Design)  ...a professional artist for more than 20 years, recently decided to add to her artistic skill set by returning to college at Wilmington University to complete a bachelor's degree in Career and Technical Teaching. In her spare time, she is an accomplished banjo player who plays in several bluegrass bands.

Laura Christiansen '08
(A.A., Liberal Arts)  ...is presently applying to graduate schools, with hopes of pursuing a master's degree in film and master's and Ph.D. in English Literature. She also plans to tutor students in writing at the MCCC Learning Center part-time, she says, as a way of giving back to the institution that gave her so much.

(A.S., Business Administration)  ...is executive vice president of Mercadien Asset Management, a Princeton-based accounting firm. "I don't regard my job as 'work'; it's fun! I thank Mercer for giving me the jump start that I needed to succeed in the real world. My education there was priceless."

Shannon Sked '97
(A.S., Biology; A.S., Plant Science)  ...went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Management from Rutgers University, a master's degree with honors in Entomology from Penn State University, and certifications from the University of Georgia, Plant LandCare Network, and the Entomological Society of America. Owner of AgServe Land Management in Bordentown, N.J., he specializes in eco-friendly, sustainable options for the care of lawns and landscapes.

Sondra Tomei '04
(A.A.S., Physical Therapist Assistant)  ...is a physical therapist assistant at Hamilton Physical Therapy Services. With a daughter who suffered from tendonitis in her shoulders, Sondra says her PTA skills also proved useful at home. Now that both daughters are away at college, as an undergraduate and post-graduate respectively, she is considering her next step in academia -- a doctorate in physical therapy designed specifically for PTAs.
