Certificate in Interior Design
The Certificate Program in Interior Design is an overview of the basic elements of interior decoration through lectures and problem solving projects. You will learn how to make the best decorating decisions, whether for your home, helping a neighbor or for personal enrichment. Learn from professional designers how to create with knowledge and confidence residential interiors that are both functional and beautiful. The certificate program emphasis is on interior decoration and the application to interior residential projects, including color, design elements and design principles, history, fabric and interior materials, window treatments, lighting, basic drawing and drafting, reading blueprints, and business practices. For the individual contemplating entry into the profession of interior design, the certificate program will be an introduction to the field.
To earn the Certificate you must complete the four Core Courses and 45 classroom hours (4.5 CEU) of Electives.
