In addition, they are encouraged to seek certification through CompTIA's A+ and Network+ (NET+) examinations, and to pursue any other credentials as may be appropriate.

MCCC is located close to many corporate and governmental computing centers that employ vendor-certified personnel. The college has been successful in assisting graduates in obtaining employment through its cooperative education program and Career Services job search services. The Certificate of Proficiency is available for those seeking only the essential technical competencies generally required for entry-level employment.

Admission to Network Engineering Technology requires a high school diploma or equivalent with one year of algebra and computer literacy. Students may study full-time or part-time. Certain specialized courses may be offered only in the evening.
