Business Software Applications
Associate in Applied Science Degree in Business Management
Graduates of the Business Software Applications option of Business Management are awarded Associate in Applied Science degrees. The Business Management programs equip graduates with specific technical skills as well as a general overview of the field of business.
Successful graduates of the Business Software Applications option will be qualified to obtain entry-level office support positions in business, and will be able to:
- demonstrate facility with current word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications;
- demonstrate familiarity with office equipment used in business;
- analyze/resolve problems related to software applications;
- use terminology common to the business environment for effective communication;
- communicate information effectively in both written and oral modes of delivery;
- comprehend how the global economy and international events affect domestic business decisions.
Students may study full-time or part-time, and may receive credit for previous training in the skills area by applying for credit-by-examination, credit-by-experience, or credit-by-articulation. Contact the Office Systems Technology coordinator for additional information.
Admission requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
