Celebrating the Retirement
of Dr. Thomas N. Wilfrid

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. -- The campus community and Board of Trustees of Mercer County Community College celebrated the retirement of Dr. Thomas N. Wilfrid this month. Dr. Wilfrid began his 38-year career at Mercer as an instructor of Physics, and served in numerous leadership positions including assistant dean of faculty, associate dean for Academic Affairs, executive assistant to the president, dean for Student and Community Services, chair of Engineering and Physical Sciences, dean for Academic Affairs, vice president for Academic and Student Affairs, acting administrator and acting president.

At a celebration on Oct. 18, MCCC Board Chair Anthony Cimino read a Resolution from the Board, stating that Dr. Wilfrid has supported the college's mission and guided the college with dedication and diligence during his 38-year career.

He has accepted a position with the Charlotte W. Newcomb Foundation in Princeton.

A festive event at the Conference Center on Oct. 12 drew a large number of friends and colleagues, including many retrees who worked with Dr. Wilfrid, at left, during his years at Mercer. Another farewell party took place before the Oct. 18 meeting of the Board of Trustees.
