PASS Program Students Honored for Achievement


Mercer County Community College's Programs for Academic Services and Success (PASS) held an Honors Night April 28 at the college in celebration of academic achievement. PASS is the combined programs of EOF (Educational Opportunity Fund) and SSS (Student Support Services). According to Director Khalida Haqq, PASS is a comprehensive retention services program that fosters academic achievement and persistence.

Among the honorees were 19 PASS students who will graduate this year. Eight PASS students earned perfect 4.0 averages and are on the President's List, 35 achieved Dean's List status, and 67 were recognized for academic achievement of 3.0.

PASS offers individual and group counseling, financial aid assistance, peer tutoring and counseling, academic advisement, summer classes and summer support, leadership training, orientation activities, mentoring, transfer assistance and a freshman seminar.
