MCCC Offers Job Coaching Sessions and Career Workshops
West Windsor, N.J. – The Career Services office at Mercer County Community College invites current students and alumni to attend free “Coaching for Job Interviews” sessions. Professional interview coach Susan Bershad, National Director at Metrus Group and Management, will conduct one-hour, individual appointments beginning Monday, Oct. 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Student Center, Room 229. The sessions will continue each Monday during that timeframe through December 13. All participants are asked to bring their resumes and provide information on the type of job they are seeking. In return, all in attendance will receive interviewing tips, actual practice and feedback.
Coming up on Thursday, Oct. 28th, representatives from the U.S. Secret Service will have a two-fold mission at Mercer: to deliver a presentation on the role Secret Service agents play in protecting the U.S. Vice President and to seek prospective Secret Service recruits. The presentation will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the Student Center, Room 211.
Other career workshops this fall include: “Resumes That Really Work” on Oct. 18; “Networking…Get a Verizon Team Behind You” on Oct. 25; “The Agencies” on Nov. 1; and “Got an Offer – How to Make it Work for You” on Nov. 8. These workshops will be held on the second floor of the Student Center, SC 211.
