MCCC Invites Prospective Students to an Open House April 11

3-16-05

WEST WINDSOR, NJ -- Potential students of all ages are invited to an Open House at Mercer County Community College on Tuesday, April 11, at 6 p.m. in the Student Center on the West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

College administrators and career counselors will present an abundance of information about the college’s programs, the ease of transferring Mercer credits to four-year colleges, and how to save thousands by beginning at Mercer. Participants will be able to explore Mercer's 68 associate degree majors and numerous certificate programs, and find out how they can finance their education through financial aid programs. Families will about NJSTARS, a state program that provides free tuition for New Jersey high schoolers who graduate in the top 20% of their class.

Career counselors will present information about the current job market and the needs of employers. Faculty, staff members and current students will answer questions about the college’s programs -- from computer networking to horticulture, graphic design to aviation, music to funeral service. Interactive, hands-on exhibits will include computer software demonstrations by technology students, massages by physical therapy students, and culinary samples from cooking students. Refreshments will be served and prizes will be given away.

Please note that the Open House was originally scheduled for April 12. The date was changed because of a conflict with Passover.

Directions to the campus are available at www.mccc.edu. Reservations for the Open House are preferred but not required. For further information or to reserve a place call the Admissions Office at 609-586-0505 or email admiss@mccc.edu.
