Explore Your Options at MCCC's Open House April 13

High school students of all ages and parents of high school students are invited to an Open House on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Mercer County Community College. The event takes place at 6 p.m. in the Student Center.

College administrators and career counselors will present an abundance of information about Mercer’s programs, the ease of transferring Mercer credits to four-year colleges, and how to save thousands on the cost of a bachelor's degree. Participants will be able to explore Mercer's 66 associate degree majors and numerous certificate programs, and find out how they can finance their education through financial aid programs. Families will learn how to qualify for NJSTARS, a state program that provides free tuition for New Jersey high schoolers who graduate in the top 20% of their class.

Career counselors will present information about the current job market and the needs of employers. Faculty, staff members and current students will answer questions about the college’s programs -- from computer networking to horticulture, from graphic design to aviation, from music to funeral service. Interactive, hands-on exhibits will include computer software demonstrations by technology students, massages by physical therapy students, and culinary samples from cooking students. Refreshments will be served and prizes will be given away.

MCCC’s West Windsor campus is located at 1200 Old Trenton Road. Reservations for the open house are preferred but not required. For further information or to reserve a place call the Admissions Office at 609-586-0505 or email admiss@mccc.edu.
