Martin Appointed Dean of Science and Health Professions
WINDSOR, N.J. -- Linda Martin of North Brunswick has been appointed
dean of the Science and Health Professions division at Mercer
County Community College. Since October she has served as acting
dean, and was previously director of Nursing Education.
her tenure at Mercer, Martin directed a bachelor's degree program
in nursing at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New
Jersey. For 13 years she coordinated the first-year Nursing Education
program at St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing in Trenton.
She also worked as a registered nurse at Roosevelt Hospital in
Edison and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Martin holds a B.S. in Nursing from Trenton State College and
an M.S. in Nursing from Rutgers University.
County Community College's Science and Health Professions division
includes Nursing,Biology, Chemistry, Horticulture, Exercise Science,
and the other Allied Health programs. The Nursing program is one
of the college's largest, combining coursework with clinical experience
in health care facilities under faculty supervision. Graduates
are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination
for Registered Nurses.
