MCCC to Host September 11 Commemoration
All are invited to MCCC's Commemoration Ceremony
for 9-11, set for Sept. 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. at MCCC's Memorial Garden

On 2 at Katmandu" Sept. 27
radio station, Jazz on 2, a digital HD2 station of WWFM The Classical
Network, invites all to enjoy an afternoon of Bebop, Dixieland, the Blues,
Latin and Modern Jazz on Sunday, Sept. 27 at Katmandu on Route 29 in Trenton.
Local jazz artists and program hosts will celebrate the one-year anniversary
of WWFM radio's return to jazz during this all-day event 10 a.m. to 6

Own Golf Classic Oct. 6
Golfers take note! The MCCC Athletics Department hosts its 18th Annual
Golf Classic on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at Mercer Oaks East Golf Course. Proceeds
benefit the Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund. An awards
reception, door prizes and dinner take place at 5:30 p.m. More

the Date -- Nov. 12 -- for MCCC's Community Event
The MCCC Board of Trustees will host its third
annual "Report to the Community" on Thursday, Nov. 12 at the
Conference Center on the West Windsor Campus. The event will showcase
the colleges programs and services, and provide information to prospective
students. Two community partners and one alumnus will be presented with
awards. All are invited.
the Study Abroad Program
invites students of all ages to pack their bags for Europe. College faculty
will lead two "Short-Term Study Tours" in May and June, 2010
with destinations to include Italy and Germany/Switzerland. The tours
are incorporated into the curriculum of three different credit courses.
Students may also enroll on a noncredit basis. The program is open to
the public, including students from other colleges. More here.
Lecture: Luke Visconti to Speak on Publishing Sept. 16
Luke Visconti, co-founder and chief executive officer
of DiversityInc Media, LLC, will present "Current Issues and Expertise
in Publishing" at MCCC on Wed., Sept. 16. He will also discuss the
benefits of diversity in the workplace. More here.
Reception for Mercer County Photography Exhibit Sept. 16
An exhibit of eighty photographic works from
photographers who live or work in Mercer County will open Sept. 8 at the
MCCC Gallery and will be on display through Oct. 8. Prizes and awards
will be announced at the Reception and Awards Ceremony on Sept. 16, from
5 to 7:30 p.m.
Launches Newly-Designed Website
With its clean, updated look, Mercer's new website
also makes it easier for visitors to find what they need. Added menus
are designed for prospective students, current students and students interested
in noncredit programs. The re-design was completed by MCCC staff.
Airport to Host Golf for Scholarships Oct. 7
The Trenton-Mercer Airport will host its 6th Annual Trenton-Mercer "Skys
the Limit Golf Outing Wed., Oct. 7, at Mountain View Golf Course.
All proceeds go to scholarships for area college students pursuing careers
in aviation -- including MCCC students. Flyer here.
