MCCC To Cut the Ribbon for James
Kerney Campus Addition
N. Wilfrid, Ph.D.
of us at Mercer are excited that the construction of an attractive new
Broad Street entrance for the James Kerney Campus (JKC) in downtown Trenton
is nearly completed. The project is also providing a new classroom to
enable us to continue to expand JKC educational offerings.
We hope that many friends of MCCC and community members will join us on
Thursday, July 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the James Kerney Campus for a brief
ribbon-cutting ceremony. (See the flyer below.)
If you are planning to attend, we ask that you let us know by calling
Rosanne Zarrilli at (609) 570-3608.
As you may know, for the first time this spring the number of students
enrolled in JKC credit courses topped 1,000. In response to new course
offerings, such as Anatomy and Physiology, the number of credits taken
by JKC students increased 14% over last year. The JKC's noncredit programs
also continue to grow.
If you can't attend the ceremony, try to stop by the James Kerney Campus
sometime soon to see the new entrance and classroom. Vice President for
College Advancement and JKC Provost Dr. Beverly Richardson and staff will
be glad to greet you and share our enthusiasm for the continuing growth
and vitality of the James Kerney Campus.
