Mercer Faculty and Students are “Hands-on”
at Super Science Weekend Jan. 10-11

Mercer faculty members Mary Ann Norcross, left, and Helen Tanzini show how oil and water don’t mix, creating an effect similar to a lava lamp.
Mercer students Wilyean Ricks, (second from right) and Jeanne Boegemann, (far right) help young visitors make “slime,” a gooey combination of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), powered soap and food coloring.
Helen Tanzini coordinated Mercer’s Super Science Weekend activities in conjunction with the American Chemical Society. She is pictured with Mercer student Kristen Terrano.
