The Marketing and Public Information staff invites faculty and staff members (and retirees) with 20 or more years at Mercer to submit a short memoir for the college’s 40th anniversary website.
We are interested in your personal memories (not a history of the college). Content should be lively and of interest to the public, as the memoirs will be on the public website.
Please click here to take a look at what’s currently online.
Here are some ideas to get you started:
Give your name, current title, year you started at MCCC, etc.
Relate an unusual event -- something humorous or different.
Tell a moving human-interest story about yourself, a student or alumnus.
Talk about a few outstanding students and why you remember them.
Tell success stories about alumni you've kept in touch with (no names unless you have their permission).
Make some “Then & Now” observations -- how things have changed.
Discuss what makes MCCC a “best choice” for students, staff and faculty.
E-mail your memoir to Saveria Symons, Coordinator of Public Information at email@example.com or call ext. 3736.
The Marketing/Public Relations unit of MCCC reserves the right to exercise editorial judgement about the content of the website, which must be consistent with the mission and goals of the college.
