Art council offers juried exhibition

BELMAR The Belmar Arts Council is accepting submissions for its third annual juried exhibition, open to artists working in all media.

This year's juror is Mel Leipzig, renowned artist and a professor at Mercer County Community College, according to a news release.

Entries will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 10 at The Boatworks, 608 River Road.

The exhibition will be displayed March 17 to 30 and an opening reception wil be held from 3 to 5 p.m. March 17.

During the reception, four awards will be presented to the winning artists. The prizes include best in show and three honorable mentions.

Artists should note that all artwork must be original and not previously exhibited in a BAC show. Two pieces per artist may be entered with the maximum of one piece to be accepted for exhibition. The entry fee is $15 per piece for nonmembers and $10 per piece for BAC members.
