Note From Dr. Rose
"Thank you all for such a warm welcome back to campus. I'm overwhelmed
by your support and affection.
"I very much appreciate your carrying on the work of the college
in my absence, and I very much appreciate the excellent leadership of
Tom Wilfrid and our deans and administrators.
"As I look forward to a new year and new beginnings, I feel privileged
to work with such a fine group of people at Mercer."
Mercer Welcomes Back
It was with a sense of relief and with a big vote
of confidence that the staff and faculty at Mercer welcomed back Dr.
Rose at a breakfast on Dec. 1, after a special session of the Board
of Trustees on Nov. 26.
The faculty/staff dining room saw a steady stream
of well-wishers from all parts of the college lining up to give Dr.
Rose a handshake or a hug. Beautiful roses and green and yellow balloons
decorated the room, and fabulous breakfast items fit the occasion. Photos
