Theatre Announces New Fall Series
A bright new season of theatrical events commences at Kelsey Theatre in
September. Among the 14 full-length musicals, comedies and dramas scheduled
for the 2008-09 season are the haunting Broadway hit "Sweeney Todd,"
the towering American classic "Man of La Mancha," the wrought
comedy-drama "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" and Disneys
popular teen hit High School Musical. The Kelsey Kids Series
features 15 productions presented by professional and community companies.
Professional Development Classes Begin Aug. 20
The Bat Cave's Professional Development Sampler classes for
staff and faculty will begin at 1 p.m. on Aug. 20. Click here

for Camp College and Help the Soup Kitchen
Camp College will host its second Bake Sale on Thursday, Aug . 7 from
11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.. Camp Director Rose Fiorello says their first
bake sale was a great success, raising $205 for the Trenton Area Soup
Kitchen. "The college community was wonderful in donating items,"
she said. If you can help out, please include a list of ingredients (for
those with allergies) and deliver your baked goods that morning or call
Rose at ext. 3267.
Publishes in Black Gate Magazine
Faculty member Ed Carmien again has had his fiction published in Black
Gate magazine. An excerpt from the summer 2008 edition containing his
story, "Knives Under the Spring Moon," is online here.
This is the second installment in the story of Kris, an "outrider"
who lives in a very different world.

Homes for Everyone
The Center for Continuing Studies is offering a one-session class Sept.
18 to help make your home more energy efficient. You can save money by
using less energy, create less waste and have a healthier living environment.
Sponsored by the US Green Building Council, the class is offered by Robert
Wisniewski, Senior Technical Consultant, MaGrann Associates. Meeting time

Tournament Set for Oct. 6 -- Save the Date
The MCCC Athletics Department hosts its 17th Annual Golf Classic
on Monday, October 6 at the Mercer Oaks East Golf Course. Proceeds go
to the MCCC Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund.
Haldeman Car Dealerships is sponsoring a hole-in-one prize. Other skill
prizes include longest drives for men and women and closest-to-the-pin
on four holes. The tournament concludes with an awards reception, door
