MCCC Women Honored at Women’s History Month Event

President Patricia Donohue and MCCC Counselor/Psychologist Valerie Brooks-Klein congratulated six MCCC women for their outstanding service both on and off campus, and offered words of inspiration at a special event in their honor March 9.

"Leadership at all levels is so important,” said Dr. Donohue. “Today’s honorees exemplify that. Mentoring is equally important. Everyone is a critical part of the process to lead and inspire others. I commend them and all campus community members who each day go the extra yard to serve others.”

Recognized were:

Counseling Specialist Susan Onaitis for her service to the DREAM program for students with intellectual disabilities;

Executive Assistant Elizabeth Knight for her work with Special Olympics;

Professor Donna Munde for service to the Bonner Program;

Professor Renee Walker for her work with Project Inside;

Associate Professor Kathi Paluscio for myriad projects bridging the gap between faculty and students;

Associate Professor and Counselor Maria Rodriguez for her service to the EOF and PASS programs

Professor Donna Richardson-Hall, for providing freshmen students with the tools necessary for success through the College Success Seminar program. (She was not able to attend due to a class commitment).
