Ex-lawyer joins MCCC board

TRENTON -- The chairman of the West
Windsor planning board has been sworn in as the newest member of the Mercer County Community College
board of trustees.
Marvin Gardner, a retired
lawyer, joined the board after being sworn in by Mercer County Executive
Brian M. Hughes on May 3.
In addition to his work as
a lawyer, Gardner worked as a teacher for New York City schools
from 1957 to 1965. He also was an adjunct business law professor at Kingsborough Community College of the City
University of New York.

had a commitment to education," Gardner
Gardner noted the community college offers
a strong opportunity for students preparing for four-year colleges, as well
as specialized training.
Gardner will serve on the board's operation committee, which works on college
policies. He also serves on West Windsor's senior transportation task force.
