Mercer County Symphonic Band Presents 2018 Spring Concert at Mercer County Community College May 30

Directed by Dr. Lou Woodruff, the Mercer County Symphonic Band will perform a Spring Concert at Mercer County Community College
on May 30.

WEST WINDSOR – The Mercer County Symphonic Band will present its annual Spring Concert on Wednesday, May 30, at 7:30 p.m. at Mercer County Community College’s (MCCC) Kelsey Theatre. The theatre is located on the college’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. Admission is free.

The 60 musicians will present a program showcasing a wide range of musical styles, including rock and roll classics, Renaissance and Baroque transcriptions, 20th Century composers, show tunes, traditional marches, and more. The performance concludes with a rousing rendition of John Philip Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever.”

Known for high-quality and entertaining performances, the Mercer County Symphonic Band, under the direction of Dr. Lou Woodruff, is celebrating its 37th season. Participating musicians span seven decades in age. The band is open to all musicians without audition. Rehearsals are Monday evenings between 8 and 9:30 p.m. from September through June, in the Music Suite (CM156) on the West Windsor Campus of Mercer County Community College.
