'42nd Street' Opens Friday at Kelsey Theatre
Prepare to tap your feet along with M & M Stage Productions as they present the enduring and endearing classic “42nd Street” at MCCC’s Kelsey Theatre, opening tomorrow and running through July 23. The entertainment quotient doesn’t get higher than in this show that combines crowd-pleasing tap dances, popular musical theater songs, and show-stopping ensemble production numbers. A reception with the cast and crew follows Friday night's performance. This musical comedy classic includes some of the most memorable tunes ever written, such as “We’re In The Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” “Shuffle Off To Buffalo,” “Dames,” “I Only Have Eyes For You” -- and of course “42nd Street”! Say Farewell to Michael Glass and Lynn Holl July 21, July 31
The college community will have the opportunity to bid a fond farewell to two long-time MCCC employees -- with nearly three-quarters of a century in combined experience -- during two receptions this month. A reception for Director of Career Services Michael Glass, who is retiring after 40 years, will be held on Friday, July 21, from noon to 2 p.m. in the Conference Center. A luncheon buffet and dessert will be served. Cost is $25 for lunch and a gift contribution or $15 for lunch only. Attendees are welcome to bring a separate gift for Michael. A reception for Marketing Director Lynn Holl, a 32-year employee at MCCC, will be held on Monday, July 31 from noon to 2 p.m. in AD234A. Light refreshments will be served.

‘Annie Get Your Gun’ Takes Aim at Kelsey Theatre July 28 to Aug. 6
The Yardley Players are about to prove there’s no business like show business, as they present the beloved musical “Annie Get Your Gun” at Kelsey Theatre July 28 to Aug. 6. A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on July 28. Read more here.

Dance Faculty to present ‘Dance Dialogues’ July 29
The MCCC Dance program presents “Dance Dialogues” on Saturday, July 29 at 8 p.m. in the Studio Theatre on the West Windsor Campus (located next to Kelsey Theatre). This free concert is the college's first full faculty dance concert and features Professor Jody Gazenbeek-Person, Coordinator for Theatre/Dance, and instructors Jill Molinari, Rebecca Brodowski and Jennifer Gladney. Most of the pieces will be performed by professional dancers and dancers from faculty members’ own dance companies. Two pieces will be performed by the college's dance students. The community is invited so spread the word!.

Six MCCC Student Athletes Earn Academic All-American Honors
Six Mercer student athletes have earned National Junior College Athletic Association Academic All-American honors for the 2016-17 academic year, with the Vikings baseball team, women’s cross country team, and women’s soccer team all represented. Read more here.

Teens Express Vision and Voices in Aspirations 2017
This spring, teens from area high schools experienced just what it feels like to be published authors and artists. On April 27, the students and their families gathered at Kelsey Theatre to receive their copies of Aspirations, a literary and arts journal published by MCCC for more than 20 years that features works by high school students. The 2017 edition includes 58 poems, essays and short stories by 52 authors, and 55 drawings and photos by 44 artists. Read more here.

MCCC Students Display Their Talents in Fashion Showcase
Style was front and center as MCCC Fashion/Apparel Design and Fashion Merchandising students presented an evening of fashion at their “Fashion, Arts and More” in May. The community event was held in the top floor studio space at the James Kerney Campus’s recently completed Trenton Hall. More than 100 people were part of the designer reception and fashion show. Viking Dennis Brady Named National Pitcher of the Year
MCCC's Dennis Brady has been selected as Spalding National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Pitcher of the Year! This is the third time in four years a Mercer baseball player has been selected for the honor. Read more here.


MCCC Baseball Alumni Reach Three Different Championships This Year
Three alumni of MCCC's 2016 World Series baseball team celebrated returns to the college World Series this year – albeit with different teams at their transfer schools, and different college championships. Read more here.

MCCC Library Home Page Summer Update. From Pam Price: The home page for the MCCC libraries has changed to highlight our new search tool – MerSearch, located at: This is a summer-long trial of a new discovery service that offers the convenience of using a one-search interface to access specific content. Another benefit of MerSearch is that search results include: books listed in the MCCC online catalog, full-text journal articles, newspapers, eBooks, AP images and videos. Additionally, there is a variety of information included from case studies, congressional documents, open textbooks, primary source documents, and TV/Radio news transcripts, to name a few subjects that complement our academic program offerings. Direct access to the library’s list of databases and online catalog is still available to the left of the MerSearch box. As always, current student, faculty, and staff access to library resources is still available from off-campus locations by using the appropriate login procedures. Please contact the library at x3560 or at for assistance, or if you have questions. We are happy to hear your feedback and suggestions as we make improvements to our services.
