Fashion and Arts Showcase Tonight at JKC
Tonight Fashion/Apparel Design and Fashion Merchandising students will present “Fashion, Arts & More,” a showcase of their work from the 2016-17 academic year. The event starts at 6 p.m. in the newly-opened fourth floor exhibit space at Trenton Hall on MCCC’s James Kerney Campus. Read more here.

Mercer Dance Ensemble Presents 'Roots to Wings' Concert This Weekend
The Mercer Dance Ensemble presents “Roots to Wings: MDE in Concert” tomorrow at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at Kelsey Theatre. The concert includes 15 dances ranging from modern styles to contemporary ballet, tap, ballroom dancing, theater art and improvisation. Read more here. Therapy Dogs to Help Ease Exam Stress May 9
Let your students know that the college is doing its part to help ease their stress as they prepare for end-of-semester exams and presentations! On Tuesday, May 9, MCCC's Counseling and Community Networks office has invited therapy dogs to the West Windsor Campus quad from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There's nothing like a furry friend to get you through those "ruff" times!

Puppy love has never been more adorable! ArtsPower National Touring Theatre brings its newest musical, “Biscuit,” to the stage of Kelsey Theatre on Saturday, May 20 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre. Read more here.

MCCC Inducts 113 Students to PTK; Membership Numbers Soar
It has been a banner year for MCCC's Alpha Theta Gamma chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. On April 21, the chapter held its Spring Induction Ceremony, adding 113 students to its rolls. PTK membership soared over the past two years, from 133 in 2015 to 256 in 2016. Read more here.

Science Students and Faculty Participate in STEM Summit
The 2017 STEM C2 Research Summit was a meeting of the minds – the most promising minds from two- and four-year colleges in New Jersey who are preparing for careers in the high-demand fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. MCCC was well-represented among the students and faculty who attended the full day of workshops and presentations hosted by Bergen County College April 21. Read more here.

Alumni Art Exhibit on Display at Lawrence Library; Reception is Saturday
Continuing through May 31, the Lawrence Branch of the Mercer County Library system is featuring the artwork of MCCC alumni Clara Sue Beym, John A. Brecko, Jr., Giancarla Macaluso, Bill Plank, Helene Plank, Margaret Simpson and Margaret Woo. The show is entitled “Mercer Family and Friends.” A reception will be held at the library Saturday, May 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. Read more here.

Men’s Tennis Alumnus Brandon Davis Excels on Court at Rutgers-Newark
Brandon Davis, who capped off his 2016 season at MCCC with a national title at 1st doubles (with partner Andres Jacome) and NJCAA All-American Honors, has brought his winning ways to the courts at Rutgers-Newark this year. Davis played 1st singles and 1st doubles and was 9-2 in both flights, leading the team to its best season record in more than 10 years. Read more here.

Baseball Team Closes Out Season on High Note; Regionals Next Week
The Mercer baseball team closed out the regular season with a 6-3 win over Anne Arundel (MD) yesterday, finishing the season with a 40-12 record and ranked 8th in the nation. Alejandro Vazquez went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBI, Gabriel Castillo had a triple and 2 RBI, and Anthony Peroni went 2 for 4 with a double and RBI. The Vikings enter post-season play in the Region 19 Tournament at Del Tech Owens as the no. 2 seed, where they will take on no. 3 Lackawana at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 12.
