Musical Revue, 'Jacques Brel,' Tonight Through Jan. 15 at Kelsey Theatre
Four singers will charm their way into your hearts with songs by the heralded Jacques Brel, whose music has inspired generations of performers. Prior to the start of the show, Kelsey Theatre patrons are invited to enjoy desserts and coffee/tea in the lobby. Read more abou the production here.

Updated Schedule for Pre-Class Week Activities
From Jill Marcus: Welcome back and Happy New Year! Pre-Class Week is next week! Due to a conflict on Thursday, Jan. 12, we have moved the session "Blackboard, A Tool For Student Success" from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the same day. In addition, we had to cancel Student Planning sessions at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.and Bb Grade Center Training at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12. We apologize for any inconvenience. Center for Continuing Studies to Host Open House Jan. 12 and 'Smart Start' Series Jan. 17-Feb. 1
For your friends and neighbors looking to update their workplace credentials, change career paths, or simply pursue a hobby, MCCC's Center for Continuing Studies (CS) will host an Open House on Thursday, Jan. 12 to discuss its wide array of programs. See the flyer here. CCS will also offer free Smart Start sessions Jan. 17 to Feb. 1. Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the James Kerney Campus for individuals considering careers in healthcare. Read more here.

Not Too Late to Sign Up for Spain Trip; Info Session Jan. 17
You can still sign up for the Study Tour to Spain, sponsored by the MCCC Center for Global Opportunities from May 20 to June 3. The trip includes accommodations with a Spanish family in Granada, a cooking class, a live Flamenco dance show, tapas tour, and an excursion to Cordoba. The program is open to students, faculty, staff, and community members. The cost is $2,500 and includes airfare, meals, accommodations, health insurance, and tuition for SPA110 (three credits). An information session will be held Jan. 17, noon to 1 p.m. in LA125. Final payment is due Feb. 17. For the application procedure, click here. Questions? Pennington Players to Present 'Unnecessary Farce' Jan. 20 to 29
Looking for some belly laughs? The Pennington Players are guaranteed to make it happen as they present "Unnecessary Farce" at Kelsey Theatre Jan. 20 to 22 and 27 to 29. Seven actors deliver rapid-fire dialogue and take some pratfalls for the cause in this show that combines classic farce with a modern American tale. Read more here.

MCCC Receives Top Ranking as National Military-Friendly School
MCCC has been named the number one military-friendly school among all two-year colleges in the nation by Victory Media, a provider of informational resource material to U.S. active duty military personnel, veterans and spouses. This is the second honor MCCC received in recent months for its service to student veterans. During the college’s annual Sept. 11 Remembrance Ceremony, the NJ Military Order of the Purple Heart presented the college with a proclamation in recognition of being named a Purple Heart Community College – the first two-year college in New Jersey to receive the designation. 'Student Reflections' Series on Facebook Garners Thousands of Views Over Winter Break
Check out what 13 Mercer students have to say about their college experience. The "Student Reflections" series that ran on MCCC's Facebook page over Winter Break (Dec. 23 through Jan. 5) garnered a huge response from the MCCC community and other well-wishers, with engagement up 103% in just one week. Kelsey Theatre's 'Toys for Tots' Drive Nets Record Gift Collection
Friends and fans of Kelsey Theatre showed their holiday spirit with donations of close to 1500 toys to the Marines' Toys for Tots campaign this holiday season. Overseeing the project were Kelsey staff members Kitty Getlik and Amy Bessellieu, and Jim Petro, owner of Rooftop Theatre Collaborative and a beloved regular on the Kelsey Theatre stage. Thanks to all who gave generoously and helped to make the holidays brighter for area kids.

Get Moving at MCCC Fitness Center; Exercise Classes Begin Jan. 30
You can get moving in January at the MCCC Fitness Center. The center got a holiday upgrade that includes equipment maintenance, painting and two new machines: an elliptical and a stationary bike. (Your staff id is required for admittance.) Yoga and zumba classes for students and staff begin the week of Jan. 30.
