West Windsor, N.J. – A community feast is in store as the Mercer County Community College (MCCC) Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (HRIM) program prepares to host its Fourth Annual Culinary Tasting Benefit.

The event, which supports scholarships for MCCC students studying Culinary Arts, will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8, 6 to 8 pm., in the Student Center Cafeteria on the West Windsor Campus,1200 Old Trenton Road.

Central Jersey food aficionados will be greeted by chefs from more than a dozen of the region’s finest restaurants. “Each year, we welcome a number of area restaurateurs who generously give of their time and delicious cuisine to make this event a success,” says MCCC instructor Frank Benowitz, who helps to organize the event.

The event will also feature several tables of delectable food prepared by MCCC Culinary and Pastry students, along with dishes prepared by the Academy of Culinary Arts (Mercer County Technical Schools).

Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction and raffle drawing for gift certificates and other items donated by participating organizations.

All proceeds will benefit the Chef Anne Lumberger and Chef Shari Widmayer Pastry Arts Memorial Scholarship Fund. A scholarship will be announced at the event and presented to the award-winning MCCC pastry student(s).

The cost is $50 for general admission and $35 for MCCC alumni, faculty and students. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. Tickets can be purchased on the Kelsey Theatre website here or in person at the Kelsey Theatre box office, located on the West Windsor Campus.
