'Nutcracker' Caps Off Holiday Season at Kelsey This Weekend
Kelsey Theatre completes its holiday shows with the New Jersey Youth Ballet's original hour-long, narrated adaptation of "The Nutcracker" Dec. 18-20. Read more here.

Faculty and Staff Holiday Reception Dec. 22
The Faculty and Staff Holiday Reception will be held Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., in the Faculty Dining Room in the West Windsor Campus Student Center. MCCC is teaming up with the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen to collect donations of non-perishable food and winter clothing for families in need from Dec. 15 through Dec. 22, with collection boxes currently located in Human Resources (AD101) and other areas on both campuses.

MercerOnline Tech and Blackboard Workshops Jan. 11 and 12
MercerOnline will offer technology and Blackboard workshops on Monday, Jan. 11, and Tuesday, Jan. 12. In addition, all faculty and staff are encouraged to attend an Open House in the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) in CM126B on to Jan. 12 at noon. Click here to read more about the workshops. MCCC, Rider Sign Agreement for 18 Additional Programs
MCCC and Rider Unversity continue to build on their partnership to expand transfer opportunities for MCCC grads. On Monday, MCCC President Jianping Wang and Rider President Gregory Dell'Omo signed an agreement that guarantees transfer to 18 additional programs of study at Rider, bringing the total to 23. Maccariella Selected as Darden Fellow at Old Dominion
Jim Maccariella, Ph.D., P.E., Associate Professor of Engineering Technology, has been named a 2015 Darden College of Education Fellow at Old Dominion University. Dr. Maccariella was nominated by the faculty of the Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership for his “significant contributions to the education profession.” His selection was unanimous. English Prof. Nicole Homer Share Love for Teaching with Passion for Writing
Faculty member Nicole Homer teaches a variety of English courses at Mercer, but her Creative Writing course is clearly closest to her own passion for writing. She recently published two poems in The Offing, an online literary magazine, and completed a three-month Writer to Writer Program offered through the Association of Writers and Writing Programs. Generations 'Pass the Palette' During Gallery Show
It was a homecoming for some, and a first connection to Mercer for others during the opening reception of "Passing the Palette: Arts Educators and Their Students" at the Gallery at Mercer. The show featured area high school art teachers, some of whom are MCCC alumni, and their pupils. More than 200 individuals attended the opening reception. Read more here.

Goalie Kellen Groover Named Soccer All-American
The storied history of the men's soccer program continues as goalkeeper Kellen Groover earned the highest save percentage in the country this season and was named an NJCAA All-American. Read about the accomplishments of this talented sophomore here.

Cross Country Teams Measure Success in Personal Bests
This year, members of the women's cross country team made a little more room on the trail, as they welcomed a brand new men's team to their practices and meets. According to Head Coach Mike DeAngelis, the transition was seamless and each team benefited from the support and camaraderie of the other. Read about their season here.

Alumna Ana Berdecia Receives Award from Children's Futures
Congratulations to Ana Berdecia, who continues to earn accolades for her work in early childhood education as a director at Thomas Edison State College. Berdecia, a 1988 MCCC graduate, recently received the Guiding Light Award from Children's Future. Read about Ana here.
