Join instructor Margaret Rose in the next offering of her popular course which has been designed to enhance creative composition skills. Students will experiment with multiple exposures; abstract photography; and night photography while completing a photo essay. Please note that this class requires an advanced level digital or 25mm camera with an adjustable lens and aperture.

Taught by Susan R. Winter, a national certified martial arts instructor with a master's background in social work, this class is packed with important information. With Susan's experience in crisis counseling in addition to martial arts, students will receive comprehensive instruction in self-defense. Topics to be addressed include: the expected emotional and mental responses one experiences when being attacked and how to react to them; generic physical responses to the initiation of an attack; and specific physical responses based on the type of attack. Questions related to a participant's personal fears or experiences will be addressed. Come prepared to participate in physical activity and wear comfortable clothing. It must be noted that you will not be asked to participate in any learning activity that makes you feel uncomfortable.
WOMEN'S BASIC SELF-DEFENSE LEVEL II

This class will have you expanding on what you learned in Level I. Person-to-person interaction and contact will help you perfect the techniques learning in Self-Defense I while doing so in a safe environment. If you are uncomfortable with personal contact, please consider whether Level II is for you. However, through actual and practical learning, you will be empowered to defend yourself in an unwanted physical interaction.

Join us at the lake in Mercer County Park and experience the fun of kayaking while learning beginner and, if you choose to enhance your basic skills, intermediate kayaking. In beginner kayaking, you will learn the basics of kayaking while you will learn advanced strokes and maneuvers in intermediate kayaking.
