All classes are instructed by Bruce Smith, wine enthusiast, educator and wine appreciation instructor since 2005! Bruce has had an interest in wine for over thirty five years. He has traveled to many wine regions in the United States and around the world and has attended numerous wine education programs over the years. He is a member of the American Wine Society and Society of Wine Educators. He has earned both the Intermediate and Advanced certificates from the Wine Spirit Education Trust program as well as the CSW (Certified Specialist of Wine) from the Society of Wine Educators. Bruce brings enjoyment as well as education to every course he teaches.

Instructed by Susan R. Winter, a national certified martial arts instructor with a master's background in social work, this class is packed with important information. With Susan's experience in crisis counseling in addition to martial arts, students will receive comprehensive instruction in self-defense. Topics to be addressed include: the expected emotional and mental responses one experiences when being attacked and how to react to them; generic physical responses to the initiation of an attack; and specific physical responses based on the type of attack. Questions related to a participant's personal fears or experiences will be addressed. Come prepared to participate in physical activity and wear comfortable clothing. It must be noted that you will not be asked to participate in any learning activity that makes you feel uncomfortable.

In beginner kayaking, you will learn the basics of kayaking while you will learn advanced strokes and maneuvers in intermediate kayaking.
