READY TO WORK GRANT
This grant is designed to help long-term unemployed workers rapidly return to work at NO COST to them while helping companies find, identify and train the best possible candidates for available positions. It is a grant that was awarded to the New Jersey Community College Consortium of which we are a participating member.
The program reimburses participating companies for up to 90 percent of wages or salaries paid to a job candidate while in training. This is a Win-Win for job candidates who are in need of training and employers who are in need of candidates.
This federal program primarily targets jobs relating to the following industry clusters:
- Information technology
- Pharmaceuticals and life sciences
- Advanced manufacturing
You must meet the following Criteria to be considered:
- New Jersey resident
- Unemployed or underemployed for 6 months or more
- 18 years of age or older
- If you are a Veteran, you will be provided Priority Service
