ARE YOU THINKING OF BECOMING A TEACHER?
DO YOU ALREADY HAVE A COLLEGE DEGREE?
DO YOU WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE OF A CHILD?
The Center for Continuing Studies and New Pathways to Teaching in New Jersey (NPTNJ) provides a teaching opportunity for those who possess a bachelor's degree or higher and who did not complete a traditional undergraduate teaching program. If you have spent years volunteering in your children's schools or have often thought or been told that you have what it takes to be a teacher but you just lack the undergraduate training, let us help you embark on an alternate route to teaching.
NPTNJ is a state approved alternate route to teaching. The structure of the program consists of two stages. Our Stage One class began in April of 2014 and will be set to run again in a future semester. Stage One consists of 12 sessions and it meets two nights per week for six weeks. Our Stage Two class begins in September of 2014 and requires the completion of Stage One.
