Lincroft, NJ-Mercer men’s tennis lost their final regular season match 4-5 at Brookdale. The Vikings got one win in Doubles flights with a 8-1 win from freshmen Joseph Wong (Lawrence, NJ/Lawrence HS) and Rasheam Johnson (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) at 1st Doubles.
In Singles flights, Wong got a 6-1, 6-4 win at 1st Singles, Johnson a 6-2, 6-1 win at 2nd Singles and sophomore Jack Wolfarth (Ewing, NJ/Ewing HS) got a 6-4, 6-0 win at 3rd Singles.
The Vikings will next compete at the Region 19 Championships at Mercer County Park on Friday, April 26th and Saturday, April 27th for a chance to qualify for the NJCAA Division III National Championship.

West Windsor, NJ-Mercer men’s tennis (3-4) was shut out by RCSJ-Gloucester (9-4) 0-6. The Vikings lost default matches at 3rd Doubles, 5th Singles and 6th Singles. Freshmen Jack Wolfarth (Ewing, NJ/Ewing HS) and Jefferson Guerra (Trenton, NJ) came closest to winning a match with a 5-8 loss at 2nd Doubles.
The Vikings next travel to Drew University for a 2:00 PM match on Friday, April 19th.

West Windsor, NJ-Mercer men’s tennis (3-3) was shut out by Ocean CC (5-1) 0-9. The Vikings lost default matches at 3rd Doubles, 5th Singles and 6th Singles. Freshmen Joseph Wong (Lawrence, NJ/Lawrence HS) and Rasheam Johnson (Trenton, NJ) came closest to winning a match with a 5-8 loss at 1st Doubles.
The Vikings host RCSJ-Gloucester (8-3) in their final home match of the season at 3:30 PM on Thursday, April 18th.

West Windsor, NJ-Mercer men’s tennis moved to 3-2 on the season following a 5-4 win vs Williamson Trade. The Vikings had three wins in Singles flights with freshman Joseph Wong (Lawrence, NJ/Lawrence HS) winning 6-1, 6-1 at 1st Singles, freshman Rasheam Johnson (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) winning 6-2, 6-2 at 2nd Singles and sophomore Jack Wolfarth (Ewing, NJ/Ewing HS) winning 7-5, 6-1 at 3rd Singles.
Wong and Johnson got a 8-2 win at 1st Doubles and Wolfarth and freshman Jefferson Guerra (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) won 8-2 at 2nd Singles.
The Vikings next host Ocean CC in a 4:30 PM match on Wednesday, April 17th.

West Windsor, NJ-Mercer men’s tennis beat Vaughn College 6-1 for their second win of the season. Freshman Joseph Wong (Lawrence, NJ/Lawrence HS) and sophomore Jack Wolfarth (Ewing, NJ/Ewing HS) did not give up a point in their wins at 1st Singles and 3rd Singles respectively. Freshmen Rasheam Johnson (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) and Jefferson Guerra (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) won at 2nd and 4th Singles.
Wong and Johnson got a 8-2 win at 1st Doubles and Wolfarth and Guerra won 8-3 at 2nd Doubles.
Mercer next hosts Williamson Trade in a 3:30 PM match on Wednesday, April 10th.

Sewell, NJ-Mercer men’s tennis (1-2) lost at RCSJ-Gloucester (2-3) 0-9. Freshmen Joseph Wong (Lawrence, NJ/Lawrence HS) and Rasheam Johnson (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) came the closest to winning a point for the Vikings with a 9-7 loss at 1st Doubles. The Vikings lost three matches due to vacant sets.
Mercer next hosts Brookdale CC (0-2) in a 3:30 PM match on Tuesday, April 2nd.

Toms River, NJ-Mercer men’s tennis (1-1) lost their first match of the season 0-7 at Ocean CC (1-0). The Vikings had two matches (1st and 2nd Singles) shortened due to rain. The 1st Doubles team of freshmen Joseph Wong (Lawrence, NJ/Lawrence HS) and Rasheam Johnson (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) lost the Vikings’ closest match of the day 3-8.
Mercer will look to get back in the win column when they travel to RCSJ-Gloucester (0-3) for a 3:30 PM match on Monday, April 1st.
3/25/24
Lincroft, NJ-Mercer men’s tennis (1-0) opened the 2024 season with a 5-4 win at Brookdale (0-10. All four Viking players won their Singles matches with freshman Joseph Wong (Lawrence, NJ/Lawrence HS) winning at 1st Singles, freshman Rasheam Johnson (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) won at 2nd Singles, sophomore Jack Wolfarth (Ewing, NJ/Ewing HS) won at 3rd Singles and freshman Jefferson Suchite Guerra (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) won at 4th Singles. Johnson and Wolfarth won 8-6 at 2nd Doubles to help give the Vikings the 5-4 win.
Mercer will next to travel to Ocean CC (0-0) for a 3:30 match on Wednesday, March 27th.
