Ron Stinson - Head Coach Women's Soccer

1st Season

Ron Stinson has been named the eighth Head Coach of MCCC women’s soccer following the retirement of Coach Elyse Diamond.

Stinson comes to MCCC with 40 years of experience in soccer as a player, referee, trainer and coach.  He attended Kutztown University, where he chose to play rugby instead of soccer.  Stinson has been involved in youth sports for over 20 years and has recently served as a coach with the NLSA (Next Level Soccer Academy).

Stinson’s travel teams have had a great deal of success in league and tournament play, winning the Gettysburg Blue/Gray Cup, the EDP Easter Showcase, the FC Europa Turf Cup, the EDP Cup Spring Showcase and the Baltimore Mania Tournament.

Stinson is also a certified Cross-Fit Instructor and certified Physical Training Instructor with the NJ Police Training Commission for police recruits.

Stinson hopes to follow in the success of previous coaches and teams this season but also hopes his players enjoy their experience playing at MCCC.  “My goals for the season are to try to follow in the footsteps of my predecessors, have the MCCC women's soccer team continue the great tradition that I believe they have created over the years, learn to play as a team, represent MCCC in a professional manner, and most of all, I believe these young ladies should have fun and enjoy the experience of being a student athlete. “

Stinson wants to “bring a mindset, a culture, and a work ethic to MCCC that inspires every player on the team to give 100% every day, regardless of what that 100% is on that particular day. I want players to have the mindset that they need to lead, take ownership of the team, and make it their team.”
